Type HSME - Enclosed Contacts
The HSME Switch module is similar to type HSM except that the main contacts are enclosed to prevent corrosive attack from the atmosphere. All components are easily maintained without the necessity of removing the module. This design offers simplicity, low cost and interchangeability with Type HSM open contact design. Arcing contacts, external and separate, prevent arcing on the main contacts.
- Arcing Contacts - Screw in silver tungsten contacts protect main contacts and are easy to remove and replace.
- Replaceable Main Contacts - with solid silver faces.
- Operating Torque 250 in-lbs. per strap -Switch functions smoothly and quickly because unique design minimizes friction
- Flexible Strap - Laminated copper strap accommodates expansion and contraction of bus bar and compensates for misalignment of bus.
- Bellows Enclosure - Seals main contacts from corrosive atmosphere.
- Clamps - Easily removed and replaced. Maintains gas-tight seal.
